The National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) engages the public through various initiatives each year, so as to educate and increase the awareness that Singaporeans have on the dangers and consequences of drug abuse, and rally them in support of the government's efforts against the drug menace.
The Clubs Against Drugs Campaign was first launched in 2000 by NCADA to address the possible issue of drug abuse at night entertainment outlets. Since then, the campaign has been organised annually. Over the years, NCADA has been in partnership with club operators to promote the anti-drug message amongst club patrons and to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and the harsh penalties that come along with drug abuse and trafficking through the campaign.
The Clubs Against Drugs Campaign 2010, (Oct to Nov 2010) is the first time that NCADA is engaging club patrons directly through ground activities. The campaign aims to promote a clean clubbing culture among Singaporeans with the theme "Party Clean, Party Again". Over 150 club operators are supporting the campaign this year.
